Terms of use.

These terms are an agreement between you and Hemanth Pediredla (“we”, “us”), the developer of GLYDETO, and cover your use of the GLYDETO iPhone app and glydeto.com. By downloading or using GLYDETO you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What GLYDETO is

GLYDETO shows live positions, departures, platforms, fares and service alerts for GO Transit trains and buses and UP Express, using data published by Metrolinx. GLYDETO is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Metrolinx, GO Transit or UP Express.

2. Information may be late or wrong

Transit data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and trains and buses can change without notice. GLYDETO is a convenience. Always follow station signs, announcements and staff. Don't use GLYDETO while driving or in a way that puts you or others at risk. We are not responsible for missed connections, fares, fines or other losses caused by inaccurate or unavailable information.

3. Your account

You need an account to use GLYDETO. Keep your sign-in details secure and give accurate information. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Account. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

4. Subscriptions and free trial

• GLYDETO is offered as an auto-renewing subscription: CA$2 per month or CA$19.99 per year. Prices in other regions are shown in the App Store before you buy.
• New subscribers get a one month free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• If we change prices, Apple will notify you and ask for your consent where required before the new price applies.

5. Licence

We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use GLYDETO on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, scrape its data, or use it to build a competing service, except where the law allows it.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use GLYDETO to break the law, interfere with the service or its servers, or access accounts or data that aren't yours.

7. Ownership

GLYDETO, its design, artwork and code belong to Hemanth Pediredla. GO Transit, UP Express and Metrolinx names belong to their owners and are used only to describe the service the data covers.

8. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

9. Apple

• These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for GLYDETO or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for GLYDETO. Support is provided by us at [email protected].
• If GLYDETO fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to GLYDETO or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
• If anyone claims that GLYDETO infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use GLYDETO, such as your mobile data provider's terms.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Disclaimer and limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, GLYDETO is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for GLYDETO in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

11. Changes and ending

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and tell you in the app about significant changes. You can stop using GLYDETO at any time. We may stop offering GLYDETO, and if we do, we will give reasonable notice in the app.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
